Why do we fight? Who is our foe?
What are we fighting for, below?
Doesn’t being human teach us more?
Quran doesn’t hate Hindus, that’s for sure.
Geeta doesn’t say to disrespect the Quran’s way.
Food has no religion, nor does the tide.
The water here flows everywhere is the same.
Hindus drink it, Muslims too, it’s not a game.
Then why this religion, this needless divide?
So why this “us” and “them,” this dividing line?
Why can’t we just be kind and real?
Why let bad parts of faith take the wheel?
Why can’t we let our human hearts just be?
Why bow to darkness, “my religion” versus “thee”?
A few make walls of what they think is true.
“Our faith’s in danger!” they keep telling you.
But is it true? Just open your eyes and see.
This fighting hurts our humanity.
The world needs people, just hearts so true,
Not religion telling us what to do.
Wake up and know, these fights won’t mend.
Our country needs humanity until the end.
Hindu or Muslim, when all is done,
Every person here is an Indian, under the sun!
On this Indian land, we are all just one.
On this Indian land, we are all just one.
