#Quarantine Life
These days we say this lock-down has made noticeable changes to our lives. Also the cleanliness constraints, precaution constraints, timing constraints, accessibility, etc. all these parameters have started flinging their shapes. Amidst this, there is small journey of say half an hour to 45 minutes, wherein I realized few things really don’t change.
#Screenplay
With this new practice of covering up yourself, right from socks, gloves to mask, I left my home on this buy journey. A journey which gives real realization. All seemed quite, extreme cautious, right from the security guard of society (who would usually be messing around with vehicles and their so called to be followed rules).
But there comes the reality check. He didn’t forget to question you as to where you are headed. So finally after his rapid fire, I get to step-out. And there you go reality check two. A person on his bike trying to showcase his stunt. I agree this was never a precaution in your lockdown journal but expected decency changes.
But yeah, these things can never change!
Digesting this when I moved ahead, then there you go – the same old prop-choke –the group/gang of roadside Romeos, who think they are the most eligible starters of the road were as usual humming around the same bench just until an additional tip of masking themselves.
Here’s the bulb glow again – Few things can never change!
Ignoring this when you step ahead, you see a vegetable vendor with his hand vehicle. This might strike your mind that finally COVID-19 has brought in line/ space discipline in our lives. But yet again, the third reality check.

There’s this woman in her own way of household vibes trying to figure out does the vegetable vendor still betray her. Still struggling hard to brush her bargaining skills without realizing that the vendor is standing just to add up as a help to people needing resource in this crunch.
In this juggle, there comes another woman parking aside her vehicle to get down & act sophisticated yet ending up in the same gesture without even realizing that we are lucky enough to at least have this set/level of accessibility of goods. There are many others who starving of hunger. There’s father trying to figure out how to fill the family’s empty stomach. A mother struggling to see her children happy and sound. But who cares? We are here just for our own motive of being satisfied by buying ₹20 onion for ₹17. As if the ₹3 were to make you poor. But on the other hand, those ₹3 could add to the vendor’s income to buy his son a small chocolate. Such incidences surprise you, yet leaving you to believe – Nothing’s changed!
Amongst this hustle bustle of veggies buyout, there you spot another bunch of oldies on their patent couch gossiping around their family drama but with an additional prop – a mask and some feet of distance.
Yet again the gossiping doesn’t change!
Ranting away all this, when you manage to reach a grocery shop, you have your check four !
A poor helpless husband in the process of turning into a coolie, holding all the wanted-unwanted baggage and wondering as to for how many houses is his wife actually shopping ? The same old Wifey tendency still hold place making her husband carry all her stuff and yet wait for her outside the grocery mart being the credit card supplier as an incentive.
All these incidences leave you questioned as to what has this COVID-19 really changed ?
The mentality ?
The discipline ?
The habits ?
Or is it only the additional precautionary props added to our wardrobe?
Thus the statement holds strength —
# Few things never change !
